How a group of Cambridge Engineering Graduates founded a start-up to build the next generation of Artificial Intelligence co-pilots

Our start-up, Apta, has secured $2.15 Million pre-seed funding to build the next generation of Artificial Intelligence (AI) co-pilots.

At Apta, we are building conversational AI agents that can extract complex insights from data to automate advanced workflows. Our technology is an agentic framework to interface powerful large language models (LLMs) with domain specific, bespoke AI systems working in conjunction to derive deep insights from data that surpasses the superficial analytic capabilities of generalist LLMs. 

Apta was founded by 3 Cambridge engineering graduates and 1 Cambridge medicine graduate. Since then, our team has expanded to include two further Cambridge engineering graduates. 

The talk will explore our journey from Cambridge engineering to a multi-million dollar start-up. We will also discuss in detail the challenges with existing LLM applications and how our technology addresses these challenges. Finally, we will give a short demo of our technology in action.
