Fool me once… Learning from bridge collapses
The presentation aims to run through a case study of a bridge collapse to highlight how a range of different factors can lead to a bridge failure, detail what can be learnt from the case study and how a Bridge Engineer has to be able to be competent across a range of attributes to ensure safe design and construction. Where possible audience participation would be sought. A 5-10minute Q and A session will follow.
